On October 24th, the city becomes both muse and challenger in Seattle vs Everyone, a solo show by longtime Pike Place Market artist Ernesto Ybarra. After 14 years in Seattle, Ernesto has witnessed the city’s strange magnetism—its beauty, its grit, and its power to test anyone chasing a dream.
Drawing from his Mexican heritage and a lifetime spent moving between cultures, Ernesto brings a keen eye for subtle differences and shared emotions. His new work captures the tension of a place that can mesmerize or devour, inviting viewers to feel the city’s abundance and its edge in every brushstroke.
Seattle vs Everyone is a warning, a love letter, and a celebration of survival, all at once.
